Virals: West Ham have OGC Nice defender Flavius Daniliuc ‘on the radar’

West Ham have reportedly placed OGC Nice defender Flavius Daniliuc ‘on the radar’ for the January transfer window.

The Hammers are expected to reinforce the defensive department following long term injuries suffered by Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna.

Daniliuc has been linked with a move to the London Stadium for some time and this mid-season window may finally see the club land the 20-year-old.

According to a report from The Athletic, the well-travelled centre-back remains of interest in East London.

Formerly of Rapid Vienna, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, the eight-times capped Austria Under 21 starlet arrived in France in 2020.

This season Daniliuc has earned a 6.91 Sofascore rating from 10 Ligue 1 appearances.

Valued at £6.3million and under contract until 2024 (Transfermarkt), the talented Austrian would be an attainable target financially.

Already a player with an impressive pedigree, Daniliuc certainly possesses all the potential to be a top-level performer.

Capable of playing at full-back on either side as well as having fleeting experience as a defensive midfielder, it’s no surprise that David Moyes would have the youngster high on the list of potential incomings.
