Virals: Report offers West Ham double January transfer boost

West Ham have been offered hope of striking a sensational double transfer swoop in the January window.

Irons’s boss David Moyes may be looking towards the market in order to strengthen a squad already performing beyond all expectations this season.

As things stand the Hammers are into the knockout phase of the Europa League, quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup and sit inside the Premier League top four.

However, injuries have begun to take hold in recent weeks and the Scot may want to double down on the options available.

According to a report from Eurosport, as previously raised by ExWHUemployee on Twitter, West Ham could be set to attempt an audacious move for Nathan Ake and Jesse Lingard.

The report claims that the East London club plan to ‘open discussions’ to sign Manchester United ace Lingard as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Dutch defender Ake is being ‘explored as a potential signing’ following injuries to Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma.

What a start to the window this would be.

Whilst signing two players from now rivals is a difficult task, if the Hammers could pull this off it would leave the squad in far stronger stead than the current situation.

Ultimately a central defender arrival in January is a must, perhaps alongside a striker to offer much-needed support to Michail Antonio.

Already linked with an abundance of possible targets, Moyes looks to be honing in on two Premier League outcasts

matchday.
