West Ham are reportedly ‘considering’ a January move for Liverpool defender Nat Phillips in the wake of their recent injuries.
The Hammers look set to be without first-choice the central defensive partnership of Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna for a prolonged period following a hamstring and knee issue respectively.
Since then the Irons have been extensively linked with a plethora of options and Phillips is seemingly among the leading contenders.
According to a report from the Evening Standard, as cited by LFC Transfer Room on Twitter, West Ham are weighing up a mid-season swoop.

The report claims that David Moyes wants a deal ‘lined up’ for early in the window and also mentions widely reported interest in Burnley stalwart James Tarkowski.
So far this season Phillips has made four appearances across all competitions – including one outstanding display in midweek against AC Milan.

This is a deal that would make an abundance of sense.
Unlike the others indexed with a switch to the London Stadium, Phillips would appear to be the most attainable given his current surplus to requirements status.
Having biding his time as the first-choice options returned to fitness, a mid-seaosn departure could be on the cards for the Englishman.
An uncompromising operator with aerial prowess in both penalty areas, the Bolton-born ace looks ready-made to step into Moyes’ side with immediate effect.
Valued at £7.2million and under contract until 2025 (Transfermarkt), wrapping up a deal in the region of the previously mooted £12million would be smart business for all parties.
