Former Premier League striker Noel Whelan has been praising the job done by David Moyes at West Ham.
The Hammers further established themselves inside the Premier League top four over the weekend and could qualify from their Europa League group on Thursday with two games to spare.
Moyes’ men are also through to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup where they will face London rivals Tottenham.
Speaking to Football Insider, Whelan was full of admiration for the Scottish manager.
They’re putting more pressure on the top four. What they’re doing with the way they play and their destructive nature is amazing – they showed that against Aston Villa. The belief in themselves and each other is key and they are enjoying their football. You have to praise what David Moyes has done in getting rid of the deadwood from the European countries. He’s changed the identity and brought through some really good players. He’s built a team that knows exactly what is expected of them – they are a well-drilled machine.
The 46-year-old ex-Coventry City star went on to tip the Irons to ‘could go really far’ in all competitions this season.
