Jamie Redknapp highlights ‘amazing’ stat behind West Ham form

Former Premier League midfielder Jamie Redknapp has highlighted an ‘amazing’ statistic behind the recent form at West Ham

The Irons are unbeaten in eight away matches in the league and on the cusp of earning qualification out of Group H in the Europa League.

In that time, David Moyes’ side have been forced to come from behind on numerous occasions – underlining the spirit within the camp.

Speaking on Sky Sports (Sunday, October 31 6:56pm), Redknapp claimed that the record speaks volumes.

What’s amazing about that stat there is that 13 of those 20 points have been won from losing positions as well. To be able to turn it around when you’re losing to have that desire to get back into games shows you the spirit they’ve got.

The amassing of those 20 points has come from wins against Everton, Leeds United, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, West Brom and Burnley whilst Moyes’ men also earned draws with Brighton & Hove Albion and Southampton.

This season the Hammers have scored in all bar one of their league fixtures and look to be on course for another remarkable campaign.

There can be no denying the fact that team unity regardless of setbacks is a driving force behind much of the success at the London Stadium.

Moyes should take huge credit for that and the current levels of consistency are testament to the job done by the Scotsman.

Next up in the Premier League is a meeting with title hopefuls Liverpool in east London.

matchday.
