West Ham youngster Freddie Potts has signed a first professional contract with the Hammers.
The 17-year-old has come through the Academy of Football and has been rewarded for a promising 2020/21 campaign with a three-year deal.
Potts has spoken the club’s official website, as cited by West Ham United on Twitter, about the delight at signing with his boyhood club.

Predominantly a defensive-minded midfielder, the son of former Iron, Steve Potts, became a mainstay in Dmitri Halajko’s Under 23 side in 2020/21.
Overall, the talented teenager made 27 appearances for the club’s youth sides last term – including eight in the Premier League 2, scoring once against Leicester City.
Described as ‘outstanding’ by Halajko following the clash with the Foxes, Potts has certainly been catching the eye at the London Stadium.

Following in the footsteps of family members seems to be a tradition in east London.
Whether Potts can go on to emulate his father remains to be seen, but this new deal is a sign that the club has every faith the ability is there to do so.
David Moyes could well turn to the youngster for domestic cup action in the upcoming campaign as the Scotsman looks to use the depth of the squad given the European commitments.
