Long term West Ham target James Tarkowski is expected to remain at Burnley for the 2021/22 season.
Despite entering the final 12 months of a deal at Turf Moor, the Lancashire club are believed to value the defender’s contribution towards Premier League survival over an immediate sale.
This comes after the Hammers were once again linked with the 28-year-old, having tried to land the Englishman last summer.
However, according to a report from The Athletic, as cited by Westham_hub on Twitter, the Clarets are willing to allow Tarkowski to leave for nothing next year.

The report claims that Premier League interest has been forthcoming for the centre-back, albeit Sean Dyche has said it would take an ‘immeasurable amount’ of money to land the twice capped England man.
During 2020/21, Tarkowski played 39 times across all competitions – earning an average Sofascore rating of 7.09 in 36 league outings.
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
Valued at £22.5million (Transfermarkt), it’s an incredibly bold statement from the Lancashire club to admit losing their asset for nothing next summer.
Aged 29 at the end of his contract, West Ham will likely be joined by a queue of suitors keen on snapping up the defender for free.
In the meantime, although the Hammers could still try their luck with Tarkowski, perhaps David Moyes and co will move on to other targets.
