Virals: Declan Rice gets rivals talking with social media post

Declan Rice has set tongues wagging on social media after being pictured relaxing at home surrounded by framed rival shirts.

The West Ham star is currently sidelined with a knee injury picked up whilst away on international duty and was enjoying some downtime having made a return to the training pitch.

Seemingly enjoying the games room in his house in a social media post on Instagram, Rice caused a stir amongst Tottenham fans, in particular, owing to the number of Spurs shirts adorning the walls.

Shirts belonging to Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish and best friend Mason Mount can also be spotted, but it’s the Harry Kane, Heung Min Son and Gareth Bale items that have attracted the most attention.

Amongst the plethora of replies from north Londoners, in-form teammate Jesse Lingard also joked about his disappointment at not featuring on the midfielders prize wall.

Perhaps the main bone of contention here is the lack of a Lingard shirt.

But in all seriousness, given the level of the names involved it’s little to no surprise Rice would see fit to decorate his walls accordingly.

That’s not to say a majority of the Hammers faithful wouldn’t rather see far less Tottenham representation in the 22-year-old’s house.

matchday.
