West Ham Player Ratings: Manchester City (A)

West Ham went toe to toe with runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City for the second time this season but ultimately came up short on this occasion.

The Hammers were in the match for long periods and were able to retain possession and use it wisely when afforded the opportunity.

Goals from central defensive partners Ruben Dias and John Stones were separated by a Michail Antonio strike for the Irons to pull David Moyes’ side level before half time.

In a match of few clear cut chances, the Hammers may feel an opportunity to take at least a point from the leaders went begging.

Ultimately the defeat leaves West Ham still in fourth ahead of the weekend’s fixtures, with City moving further clear at the summit after their 20th consecutive win in all competitions.

Here’s how we rated Moyes’ men who will face Leeds United next on Monday night at the London Stadium…
