West Ham legend Tony Cottee may have dropped a hint about the club pursuing a transfer for Blackburn Rovers striker Adam Armstrong in the summer.
The 24-year-old has been in scintillating form this season in the Championship and has already bagged 20 goals in all competitions.
Blackburn manager Tony Mowbray previously confirmed that Premier League clubs initiated contact regarding the striker’s availability in January but no bids were forthcoming.
However, Cottee has stoked the fire following talks with David Moyes and suggested Armstrong may be on the radar in the summer. He said (via Caught Offside): “I fully expect a move for Blackburn’s Adam Armstrong who is a 5ft 8in frontman along with a bigger more physical type.”
Unsurprisingly, plenty of the Hammers faithful have picked up on Cottee’s comments (as shared on Twitter by @WestHam_Central) and ran with it on social media.

He’s been spending a lot of time with Moyes at the training ground lately.
