The former Villarreal ace, who arrived in east London from Spain in 2019, turns 25 today and has blossomed into a mainstay in David Moyes’ side this season.
Contributing with three assists and two goals so far this term, Fornals has become an industrious winger whose defensive contribution has been as imperative as his attacking prowess at times.
Capped twice by his nation and with time on his side for many more, there remains plenty of promise over the winger’s future, and Irons fans can be hopeful that they have a star on their hands for many years to come yet.
