West Ham fans celebrate first anniversary of Tomas Soucek’s arrival

Many West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to celebrate one year of Czech Republic midfielder Tomas Soucek at the London Stadium.

The 25-year-old powerhouse arrived in east London from Slavia Prague on an initial loan move on 29 January 2020 and promptly made an impact with the Hammers, earning him a permanent switch at the end of the season.

Despite predominantly operating as a defensive-minded midfielder alongside Declan Rice, the potato salad-loving Czech international has earned a burgeoning reputation as an attacking threat with his heading prowess in particular.

To that note, Soucek is currently the Irons’ joint-top goalscorer this season with seven goals to his name, including a brace in the 3-2 success at Crystal Palace in midweek.

These Hammers have joined in the celebration of the one-year anniversary of the Czech midfielder coming to the club..
