It’s safe to say Tomas Soucek has endeared himself to many West Ham fans during his first year in east London and his latest goal-scoring exploits have only strengthened the love.
The Czech midfielder has developed a trademark of arriving on the scene at the opportune moment to strike and has netted an impressive seven Premier League goals this season. That tally makes the 25-year-old the top scorer in the league for the Hammers – not bad going for a defensive midfielder.
Soucek’s latest brace earned David Moyes’ side three points at Selhurst Park as they defeated Crystal Palace 3-2 last night, moving the Irons into the dizzy heights of fourth in the table.
