On-loan Cagliari winger Adam Ounas has been pictured in a West Ham shirt on Instagram whilst away on international duty with new Hammer Said Benrahma.
The 24-year-old Algerian, whose birthday it is today, was reportedly offered to David Moyes back in September for £16m by parent club Napoli, but the deal failed to materialise and the winger headed to fellow Serie A club Caligari on a season-long loan deal shortly after.
Born in France, Ounas has represented Algeria on nine occasions, four more times than Benrahma. The former Bordeaux man has struggled to make an impact in his first few weeks in Sardinia, as his five appearances so far have yielded no goals or assists.
Napoli have actually loaned him out on two separate occasions, having let the winger return to France for a spell with Nice in 2019, and he has only played 39 times in all competitions for the Azzurri.

Ironically, it’s the arrival of his international teammate Benrahma that has probably put an end to any hopes of a switch to West Ham in the immediate future for Ounas.
Similar in styles and age, and both capable of playing on either wing, the Irons’ acquisition of Benrahma likely means there will be no forthcoming move for the Napoli man.
The one area of the pitch where Moyes’ squad is perhaps overloaded is on the wings, with Benrahma, Andriy Yarmalenko, Jarrod Bowen, Pablo Fornals, and Robert Snodgrass all at the manager’s disposal. Nonetheless, some Hammers fans may be intrigued at seeing Ounas pictured in their colours…
