West Ham Fans Name Sander Berge As A Must-Buy

West Ham have started the 2020/21 Premier League season in promising fashion despite a fiendish fixture schedule and a distinct lack of central midfielders at David Moyes’ disposal.

Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek have started every league game in the heart of the Hammers; midfield so far, a fact not lost on Hammers fans who have named one man in particular as a player they’d like to see at London Stadium.

Sheffield United’s Norwegian midfielder Sander Berge has been earmarked by several fans as the perfect candidate to bolster the Irons’ midfield options should the Yorkshire club suffer the fate of relegation – an eminent possibility given their wretched start to the season.

The 22-year-old was signed in January for £21.6m from Belgian side Genk  and has been a standout performer for Chris Wilder’s side in recent months.

Asked to hypothetically name a potential signing from each of the Premier League’s current bottom three, these Irons fans were almost all of the same opinion…

Plenty of love for Berge, as well as plenty of Hammers willing to take Grady Dianagana back after the club allowed him to leave in controversial circumstances in the summer.

matchday.
