David Moyes’ pre-Fulham Press Conference: Key Points

West Ham manager David Moyes held his pre-match press conference this morning ahead of the visit of Fulham to London Stadium on Saturday night.

The Hammers boss addressed his squad’s injury list, the opposition and more ahead of the all-London clash.

Here are the key talking points from the Scot…

Injuries

”(Mark) Noble had a little rib injury and I don’t think will be available. Expect (Aaron) Cresswell to be fine. (Michail) Antonio is doing much better.”

Said Benrahma

”We have good competition which I am really happy with, Said is part of that. He is getting closer to match fitness. He will be in and around the squad again.”

Positive Start

”I hope it’s because of our form and the way we have played. I think if you have been to Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, and Leicester away from home, that is a tough run. I’d have liked to have picked up more points.”

The Irons welcome a Fulham side managed by former West Ham midfielder Scott Parker struggling to adapt to life in the Premier League after promotion via the play-offs last season.

However, the visitors did win in their last outing against West Brom, their first league victory of the campaign, and Moyes’ side will be wary of a renewed confidence in their opposition.

The absence of the club captain from the squad, albeit that Noble has been short on starts this season, remains a big loss and leaves Moyes short on central midfield options outside of Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek.

Meanwhile, Benrahma must be chomping at the bit to get his first start for the club. The Algerian has a wonderful recent record against Fulham and will be desperate to show his new club what he can do.
