On Saturday West Ham travel to Merseyside to take on Premier League title holders Liverpool.
David Moyes’ side will be hoping to continue their own form whilst dealing a blow to the Reds retention hopes.
Not unlike last week when Moyes’ men welcomed Manchester City to the London Stadium, the Hammers go in search of putting a stop to a poor run of recent history of results.
The East London club are without a win against Liverpool in eight Premier League meetings, the last of which came at Upton Park back in January 2016.
Despite the loss to top scorer Michail Antonio to a hamstring strain, Moyes can be confident of getting a positive result on Saturday as his men face a Liverpool side with only Joe Gomez available as a fit senior centre-back.
The 30-year-old’s absence undoubtedly dents the Hammers chances, however, it hands an opportunity for someone else to make themselves, perhaps one who will one day be included in a quiz like this someday.
Can you name the West Ham goal scorers from past Liverpool clashes…
