West Ham could be in line to face an injury ravened Manchester City side on Saturday as Pep Guardiola’s squad mounts up the absentees.
City, who travel to the London Stadium on Saturday could be set to do so without as many as five of their big-name stars, a huge bonus of David Moyes’ Hammers.
Gabriel Jesus and Benjamin Mendy are almost certain to miss out on the clash, whilst perhaps City’s most integral player Kevin de Bruyne is touch and go.
Central defensive duo Aymeric Laporte and Nathan Ake are both doubts to face the Irons, who could be down to the bare bones at the heart of the defence, albeit expensively assembled bare bones.
The latest injury blow to West Ham’s next opponents came during Wednesday night’s Champions League fixtures. As City ran out 3-1 winners at home to Porto, watched on from the bench by claret and blue loanee Felipe Anderson, Guardiola also lost another defensive option in Fernandinho.

Although a depleted Manchester City outfit is certainly a plus point for Moyes’ men, in reality, the all-star squad at Guardiola’s disposal means they host little to no less threat than previously.
The Hammers know they will still have to be on top of their game to get anything out of the fixture and even to avoid a repeat of this clash last year.
That said a host of injuries certainly increases the Irons chances, just only slightly.
