According to a report on Le10 Sport, Morgan Sanson’s value has been dropped to around €25m and that could be a huge boost for West Ham.
The Marseille midfielder has been a target for the Hammers for some time but his high price tag has seemed to be an issue.
But, with the French Ligue 1 side desperate for funds to ensure there is no breach of Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules, his valuation has dropped down from the initial €40m asking price.
In the January transfer window, the Hammers had a €30m bid for Sanson rejected by Marseille.
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
The midfielder himself admitted that he laughed when he heard of interest in him from West Ham, which immediately isn’t a good sign about his intentions.
However, the Frenchman, who has scored 39 goals in his career (Transfermarkt), could now be offloaded for even less than the €30m that was offered for him and this could suit the Hammers. Naturally, if the London club were willing to pay €30m for him, then we feel that paying €25m should be no issue.
However, we believe that whether West Ham stay in the top-flight or not could play a big part in whether they pursue a move for Sanson, who has ten goal involvements this season.
