It’s time for West Ham to get rid of Wilshere

West Ham United midfielder Jack Wilshere is still sidelined with an injury and we feel it’s time for the club to offload him.

When joining from fellow Premier League side Arsenal, there seemed to be some hope and optimism that the midfielder could regain his fitness and form at the London Stadium.

However, it has been quite the opposite.

The central midfielder has only made eight appearances this season, with just six of them coming in the top-flight (Transfermarkt), proving that he is doing little to help the team.

Furthermore, in the last two seasons, Wilshere has missed a remarkable 53 games due to injury. This shows that he hasn’t shrugged off his injury problems and instead, they seem to be getting worse since he made the switch to east London.

To add even more salt into the wounds, the Englishman is one of the team’s highest-paid players. According to data website Spotrac, Wilshere earns £100,000 a week at the Hammers.

We believe that he should be sold this summer because he is not playing any part in the team’s exploits on the pitch and is taking up valuable room on the club’s wage bill, which could be used for another player who is fitter and younger than Wilshere.

Many of the club’s fans are also appear to be losing their patience with the one-time England international.
