Young West Ham United defender Jermey Ngakia retained his spot in the starting XI for the clash with Arsenal last weekend and supporters loved what they saw.
The right-back had a pretty solid game defensively, nullifying Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the Emirates Stadium.
The teenager has now started four consecutive matches for the Hammers, including twice against league-leaders Liverpool.
With Ryan Fredericks struggling with injury and Pablo Zabaleta out of favour, Ngakia has seized the opportunity to cement a starting role under David Moyes and it seems even when Fredericks returns, Ngakia could continue to get the nod by the manager.
The club’s official Twitter account posted a picture of Ngakia, appreciating his performance and generally sounding quite positive about him getting ‘minutes in the bank’.
Many Hammers fans have responded to the post, with several fans praising the 19-year-old for the impact he has had on the team.
Some even agree that he is now the number one choice right-back at the club.
