Moyes confirms Soucek is completing West Ham medical
David Moyes has confirmed Slavia Prague midfielder Tomas Soucek is nearing a move to West Ham and ‘hopes’ he’s currently taking his medical.
According to Sam Inkersole, the Hammers had a €20million offer accepted by the Czech club yesterday for the 24-year-old’s services.
Speaking to the media, cited by Football London, Moyes confirmed Soucek is on the verge of joining West Ham and praised his impending signing:
I hope he is in the middle of his medical. He fits the profile of the player I want for West Ham. We are in a difficult period where we need experienced players as well, he has 25 caps for the Czech Republic.

On paper, Soucek looks like he’ll add not just bundles of quality to the West Ham squad, but also experience of playing at the highest level.
In the Champions League this season, he made six starts, maintained an 82.6% pass completion rate, won 4 aerial duels per game and made 2.5 tackles and interceptions per game.
He also notched two goals, which is more impressive when you consider Slavia Prague were in the group of death along with Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan.
We believe Hammers fans have the right to get very excited about this transfer because Declan Rice is about to get a very promising midfield partner.
