West Ham interested in signing Shaparenko

West Ham are eyeing up a move for Mykola Shaparenko this summer, according to Caught Offside.

The Dynamo Kiev star is being monitored by a host of Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Shaparenko scored eight goals in 33 appearances last season, shining in the middle of the park for the Ukrainian giants.

Blessed with technical ability and creativity, the attacking midfielder is tipped for big things.

Although West Ham may end up being beaten to Shaparenko’s signature by a bigger club, they are still believed to be in the mix to sign him.

The youngster is represented by the same agency as Andriy Yarmolenko, which could work in the Hammers’ favour.

There are work permit issues that could prove to be a potential stumbling block, but that issue should disappear once he adds to his four appearances for Ukraine.

That means signing Shaparenko this summer and loaning him out for a year is an option for the English clubs linked with him.
