West Ham close to reaching an agreement to sign Gary Medel
West Ham are close to reaching an agreement to sign Gary Medel from Besiktas.
According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, a deal is edging ever closer, with the Chilean midfielder finally looking set for a Premier League return.
Medel has been heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium and it now appears that a deal could be imminent.
The former Cardiff City man is out of contract at the end of next season and is reportedly keen for a second chance in the Premier League.
With Manuel Pellegrini clearly an admirer of the player, the Hammers have chased his signature for some time. The report suggests that the London club have followed the player for nearly two years.
Medel looks set to be the latest addition to Pellegrini’s new-look West Ham squad following the big-money additions of Pablo Fornals and Sebastien Haller, who arrived from Villarreal and Frankfurt respectively earlier in the window.
