West Ham linked with Mohamed Elneny

West Ham United have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Mohamed Elneny from Arsenal this summer.

The Hammers have enjoyed a hectic transfer window so far, recruiting David Martin, Roberto, Pablo Fornals, and most recently, Sebastien Haller in a club-record deal worth £45 million.

However, it seems they are not finished just yet and have identified other potential targets who will be pursued before the window slams shut next month.

According to a report from Egyptian outlet Ahly News, West Ham have explored the possibility of signing Mohamed Elneny from Arsenal as Pedro Obiang nears a move to Sassuolo.

The former FC Basel midfielder failed to make an impression under Unai Emery at the Emirates Stadium last season, prompting claims that he could be offloaded this summer.

It is claimed that West Ham are willing to part with £9 million in their efforts to sign Elneny, but Arsenal would be keen to sell him for a higher sum as they aim to fund a big-money move for Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha.
