West Ham contact Fiorentina-bound Llorente’s representatives

West Ham United have reportedly been in contact with the representatives of Fernando Llorente, but the former Tottenham Hotspur man could be heading to Fiorentina this summer.

According to claims from The Daily Star, the Hammers are keen to add another forward to the ranks after signing Eintracht Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller for a club-record £45 million.

FC Porto star Moussa Marega had been considered, and a possible £10 million move for controversial Rangers man Alfredo Morelos is also touted as a possibility in the report.

However, it is claimed that the entourage of experienced Spanish forward Llorente have been contacted by West Ham, with the view of him joining Manuel Pellegrini’s squad ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

The 34-year-old played an important role in Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham team last season but decided to move on at the end of his contract this summer.

West Ham appear keen to recruit Llorente, but his wages are understood to be rather high, and a move to Serie A club Fiorentina is noted as a likely outcome.
