West Ham receive €9m offer from Sassuolo for Obiang

West Ham United have reportedly received an offer worth €9 million from Sassuolo for Pedro Obiang.

According to claims from Gianluca Di Marzio, the Serie A club have made a push to sign the midfielder, who could be set for a return to Italy in this summer transfer window.

Obiang has long been tipped with an exit from West Ham, and it seems Sassuolo are at the front of the queue of clubs who are vying for his signature.

Di Marzio reports that there is ‘optimism’ from the Serie A outfit that their offer of €9 million will be enough to convince the Hammers into letting the player depart the London Stadium this summer.

However, no update on whether or not the bid is sufficient has since been detailed, as Obiang faces an anxious wait over his future ahead of next season.

Fiorentina and Bologna made previous efforts to bring the midfielder back to Italy, as per the report, but were unsuccessful.
