Celtic, West Ham and Wolves target Edson Alvarez has dropped a major transfer hint after claiming Gold Cup glory with Mexico, HITC report.
The 21-year-old, who plies his domestic trade with Mexcian side Club America, played a key role in Mexico’s Gold Cup victory, featuring in all but one of his country’s six games.

Alvarez stood out with some dominant displays at the back and has been tipped to make a move to Europe ahead of the new season, with the Hammers and Wolves reportedly launching official bids for the player in recent days.
West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is eager to add to his central defensive ranks this summer, however, Scottish giants Celtic and Dutch champions Ajax are also thought to be long-term admirers of the player.
And when asked about a move to Europe this summer, Alvarez admitted that he is edging closer to his dream and that possibilities are starting to open up.
Possibilities are opening up.
I’m really happy to be more and more close to this dream that I desire with all my heart and hopefully it will be the best for me.
Club America are happy to let the player go this summer, so the Hammers could well be in with a shot of landing the highly-rated defender, however, they will have to fend off a plethora of European sides to secure Alvarez’s services.
