West Ham have reportedly made the signing of Callum Wilson from Bournemouth ‘a priority’ this summer.
According to 90min, the England international is firmly on West Ham’s radar as they go in search of a new striker.
They claim that while Salomon Rondon and Maxi Gomez are in fact targets, it is Wilson who they want to add to their squad this summer.
Wilson has been heavily linked with moves away from Bournemouth recently and has previously been valued at around the £50 million mark.
West Ham are in the market for a striker as they look to replace Marko Arnautovic.
The Austrian appears to finally be closing in on a move to the Chinese Super League after seeing a deal fall through during the January transfer window.
Despite signing a new contract and vowing to stay at the club, Arnautovic has once again handed in a transfer request
Why Wilson would be a great signing for West Ham
Ready for the step up
He’s done his time with Bournemouth and proven he can be a consistent Premier League striker.
Over his injury problems
Wilson has had his fair share of injury problems in the past, but the striker appears to be over that now.
Knows the league
Wilson would need no adaptation period in the Premier League, something that other strikers like Gomez would require.
Arriving in good form
Wilson is coming off the back of a good season with Bournemouth and the England international team.
