West Ham eye up summer move for Isaac Hayden

West Ham are one of several clubs interested in signing Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden this summer, according to the Northern Echo.

The £15 million rated Englishman will leave St James’ Park, with a desire to be closer to his family down south.

A host of Premier League sides are eyeing up a move for him and West Ham are one of them.

Hayden’s dynamism in the middle of the park is seen as something that could improve the Hammers moving forward.

They will face competition from Wolves, Watford and Brighton, however, with the final decision likely to be down to Hayden himself.

A move to the Championship is also mooted, but given the 24-year-old’s form in recent times, dropping down a division would be a surprise.

Hayden has stated that he will leave Newcastle once a replacement has been brought in, but Rafa Benitez’s exit as manager may make the situation more complex.
