West Ham complete signing of Fornals

West Ham have announced the signing of Pablo Fornals from Villarreal for an undisclosed fee.

The club have confirmed that Fornals has joined the club on a five-year contract, with the option to also extend it for a further year.

Although the club have not officially confirmed the fee, they have claimed that it is the second most expensive signing in the history of the football club – only behind Felipe Anderson’s move to the London Stadium from Lazio last summer.

Fornals will join up with the West Ham squad for pre-season after he is finished competing in the under-21 European Championships with Spain this summer.

He becomes West Ham’s third signing of the summer, following on from goalkeepers Roberto and David Martin.
