Pellegrini ready to hand Browne a chance in pre-season

West Ham are ready to hand a chance to young midfielder Marcus Browne in pre-season, despite interest from Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers.

According to GOAL, West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini has been impressed with Browne’s performances for Oxford United on loan and is now prepared to see if he has what it takes this summer.

Pellegrini will give Brown the chance to earn his place in the West Ham squad for the upcoming Premier League season, if he can impress in pre-season with the Hammers.

The report claims that both Celtic and Rangers are interested in signing Browne, as they look to bolster their squads ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Browne scored eight goals in 42 games on loan to Oxford, but only has one year left on his current deal at the London Stadium, raising questions over his future.

A number of unnamed Championship clubs are also said to be keen on a deal for Browne.
