Tottenham reject chance to sign West Ham target Edin Dzeko

Tottenham Hotspur have rejected the chance to sign Roma striker and West Ham target Eden Dzeko, according to Football Insider.

According to the report, Spurs feel that the striker doesn’t represent a good-value signing, this may partly be due to the forward being 33.

The report claims that the Hammers will now face a battle with Inter Milan for the player, with Inter thought to be discussing a deal with Roma worth £18 million.

The frontman would be an ideal signing for the Hammers, his prolific nature comes with Premier League experience where he featured 189 times for Manchester City, scoring on 72 occasions.

Despite being 33, Dzeko had a productive season at Roma, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists in Serie A as Roma finished in sixth-place.

He would provide a lot of experience for the Hammers and having also played under Pellegrini before, it may give West Ham an advantage.
