West Ham name price for Everton target Cresswell

West Ham have reportedly named their price for defender Aaron Cresswell, who is being targeted by Premier League rivals this summer.

Football Insider reported earlier this week that Everton held an interest in signing the 29-year old left-back, who had fallen down the pecking order this season.

Cresswell played 20 times in the Premier League before being displaced by Arthur Masuaku, a more attacking option on the left flank for Manuel Pellegrini.

With interest in the former Ipswich man heating up, the Hammers have now reportedly slapped an £8million price tag on the defender according to Football Insider, which is exactly double the figure the club paid the Tractor Boys for him in 2014.

Pellegrini is open to offers for the England international, who is unlikely to force his way back past Masuaku into the Chilean coach’s plans next season.

Everton have a solid first-choice left-back in Lucas Digne, but with Leighton Baines’ contract set to expire this summer, the Toffees could move for Cresswell to boost their squad depth.
