West Ham given boost in Ceballos pursuit

West Ham have been given a boost in their pursuit of Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, with the La Liga giants looking to offload the Spaniard this summer.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is planning to overhaul his squad this summer, as he attempts to close the gap to La Liga champions Barcelona, who have the chance to finish the campaign 21 points clear of their rivals with victory over Eibar on Sunday.

And according to Spanish outlet Marca, Ceballos is one of a number who Zidane will look to offload in the summer, giving the Hammers a boost in their pursuit of the midfielder.

Ceballos moved to Los Blancos from Real Betis in 2014, but his five-year stint in the Spanish capital looks set to be coming to an end this summer.

The likes of Gareth Bale, Keylor Navas and Marcos Llorente are also being linked with moves away alongside the 22-year-old.
