Napoli set to rival West Ham for Zapata
Napoli are lining up a move for West Ham target Duvan Zapata this summer, with the Partenopei reportedly set to offer Atalanta a fee in the region of €20million plus Roberto Inglese for the striker.
Zapata has been one of the standout players in Serie A this season, scoring 22 goals for Atalanta in 35 league appearances, and has attracted interest from a number of sides.
And according to Inside Futbol via Italian outlet Tuttosport, Napoli are lining up a player plus cash offer for the striker, who has been a target for West Ham since January.
The Hammers had identified Zapata as a potential replacement for Marko Arnautovic, after the Austrian was heavily linked with a move to China in the January transfer window.
The report also suggests that the 28-year-old is on Inter Milan’s radar this summer, but Atalanta’s €40million valuation is said to be a stumbling block.
Napoli are hoping to manoeuvre their way around that price with their potential offer of €20million plus striker Inglese, who is currently on loan with Parma.
