Turkish midfielder Okay Yokuslu of Celta Vigo has enjoyed a good season in La Liga and has attracted the interest of West Ham United.
West Ham are looking to add some backbone into their team to help sure up the midfield next season and the Turk could turn out to be a perfect partner for veteran Mark Noble next season.
The Hammers interest in the 25-year-old has been confirmed by Turkish-football, as cited on Sportlens, and the club are preparing to battle Champions League finalists Tottenham Hotspur for the midfielder’s services.
The Turkish international has played an important role in Celta Vigo’s survival this season as they narrowly avoided relegation from the Spanish first division.
However, with both English clubs battling for the midfielder, European football may be the deciding factor if the player decides to leave the club.
It was reported a few weeks ago that West Ham are set to release up to nine players over the summer, and identifying Yokuslu as a possible incoming could be just one of many incomings at the London Stadium.
Four more midfielders West Ham could target
The powerful Watford midfielder could be on course for a Vicarage Road exit, however, it could take a large offer to tempt Watford to sell the Frenchman.
The 23-year-old could be keen on a move to the Premier League following Leeds United’s playoff exit.
Defensive midfielder Diawara has been compared to Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante in the past and could be a shrewd signing by the Hammers.
The Spaniard would provide plenty of attacking flair to West Ham’s midfield and could be open to a move away from Cardiff City this summer.
