Young Scandinavian star set for West Ham trial
West Ham are set to take young midfielder Viktor Hallin on trial, with the Swede set to travel to London next week for a week at West Ham.
The Hammers were reportedly impressed when they sent scouts to Sweden to watch the youngster, and have offered the 17-year-old a trial.
The Rynninges midfielder, who plays in the Swedish third tier, has impressed West Ham scouts, and has earned his trial at the Hammers.
Speaking to NA.s, and quoted by Fotboll Direkt, the midfielder said:
It’ll be a lot of fun, I’m very happy. I talked to them days after they were here, and they said they liked my ability to push the ball forward at speed and getting forward. That’s what they saw immediately.
West Ham could add the midfielder to the ever successful academy, that has furthered the careers of many stars.
Frank Lampard, Joe Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Mark Noble and a whole host of other recent stars have come through the famous West Ham academy, and the club will be hoping Hallin will be the next star to come through the academy of football.
