West Ham considering a move for Okereke

West Ham are interested in signing Spezia forward David Okereke, according to a report in Italy from Tutto Mercato, as cited by Inside Futbol

The 21-year-old has had an impressive season for the Serie B outfit, as he has scored 10 goals and has assisted 12 from his 30 league appearances.

This has reportedly caught the eye of teams across Europe, and West Ham are one team interested, with Crystal Palace having allegedly scouted the Nigerian earlier in the campaign.

Okereke has received one cap for Nigeria’s Under-23 team, and he scored on his debut for his country.

One of the main aims for West Ham this summer could be to bring in a new striker, with the future of all their attacking options under scrutiny.

Okereke has yet to reach his potential and could thrive in the English top flight if his productivity in the final third for Spezia in Serie B fixtures can be reproduced.
