West Ham are one of a few clubs who are looking to sign Ligue 2 midfielder Pape Gueye this summer.
The Le Havre central midfielder has only made 10 appearances in France’s second tier, mostly coming from the bench, however, has enjoyed a role in the starting XI towards the end of the season.
The 20-year-old has impressed from deep in midfield and, according to L’Equipe, he now looks to be a target for a few Premier League clubs.
These clubs include West Ham, Watford, and Leicester City; three outfits all looking to bolster the heart of their midfield.
West Ham will be fighting against their mid-table rivals for Gueye’s signature should they want to improve their squad, with Declan Rice needing support in defensive midfield.

Le Havre are reportedly keen to keep hold of the French midfielder with him being so young, however, there is only a year remaining on his contract leaving his future undecided.
Should the youngster come to the London Stadium this summer, he will certainly provide the defensive partner that Rice has been looking for and will be a very strong addition to Manuel Pellegrini’s squad.
