West Ham interested in Gueye deal

West Ham are one of a few clubs who are looking to sign Ligue 2 midfielder Pape Gueye this summer.

The Le Havre central midfielder has only made 10 appearances in France’s second tier, mostly coming from the bench, however, has enjoyed a role in the starting XI towards the end of the season.

The 20-year-old has impressed from deep in midfield and, according to L’Equipe, he now looks to be a target for a few Premier League clubs.

These clubs include West Ham, Watford, and Leicester City; three outfits all looking to bolster the heart of their midfield.

West Ham will be fighting against their mid-table rivals for Gueye’s signature should they want to improve their squad, with Declan Rice needing support in defensive midfield.
