West Ham are chasing the signature of AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu but will face competition from mid-table rivals Leicester City.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a Premier League move after a couple of impressive seasons at the Italian giants, setting up 13 goals this season.
The Turkish playmaker made a name for himself while playing for Bayer Leverkusen, where he registered 28 goals in 115 appearances.
According to Turkish media outlet Fanatik, as cited on HITC, the price tag for the creative forward is around £26m, and reports say he is catching the eye of Premier League clubs including West Ham and Leicester City.
There are questions raised as to where Calhanoglu would slot into Pellegrini’s side, with players such as Brazillian Felipe Anderson already performing well for the Hammers this season.
However, Pellegrini will be looking to improve the squad depth if they are to challenge for European qualification next season.
After a fierce battle in the middle of the table in the Premier League this season, clubs will be looking to bolster their teams in order to finish as high as possible in the 2019/20 campaign. Manuel Pellegrini seems to be doing just that.
