Inter reluctant to meet Roma’s valuation of West Ham target Dzeko

Inter Milan appear to be facing difficulties in their pursuit of West Ham target Edin Dzeko this summer.

The Hammers have been linked with a move to sign the veteran striker, with Roma prepared to cut their losses on their talisman as he nears the end of his contract at the club.

Dzeko’s deal at the Stadio Olimpico has little over a year left to run, and because of this, the Serie A giants are ready to cash in.

According to a report from Gazzetta.it, as cited by Calciomercato, Roma have settled on an asking price for the Bosnian international this summer and are demanding a fee worth €25 million.

Inter had appeared to be the front runners to land Dzeko ahead of next season as Luciano Spalletti continues to eye reinforcements for his attacking line.

However, as per the report, the Nerazzurri are reluctant to meet Roma’s valuation of the former Manchester City striker, who has scored eight Serie A goals this season, with their board prepared to spend no more than €15 million.

The news could come as a boost to West Ham, who were reported to have been trailing Inter in the race for Dzeko’s signature.
