Inter scouting West Ham target Zapata
Inter Milan have sent scouts to watch West Ham transfer target Duvan Zapata ahead of a potential summer swoop.
According to FC Inter News, via Inside Futbol, Inter sent scouts to watch Zapata as Atalanta played Empoli on Monday night.
Atalanta, astonishingly, were held to a 0-0 draw against Empoli, after having a remarkable 47 shots during the game.
Despite their lack of finishing ability against Empoli, Zapata has rarely failed to provide the goods this season – with 20 goals and five assists in 30 Serie A appearances for the club.
The report claims that West Ham and Newcastle are both interested in Zapata, as they look to strengthen their squads in the summer. It is also claimed that Atalanta are demanding €50m for the Colombian striker.
Inter, despite scouting Zapata, are still said to be eyeing Romelu Lukaku as their number one target – with the forward seemingly out of favour at Premier League side Manchester United.
