Hammers linked with shock move for Ivan Perisic

West Ham spent big last summer in an effort to turn around their fortunes and give new boss Manuel Pellegrini the tools he needed to entrench the Irons in the top half of the Premier League.

New arrivals Felipe Anderson, Issa Diop, and Lukasz Fabianski have all played a big part in the Hammers’ improved performances this season, but it seems as though the Chilean tactician knows his squad is not yet finished.

If a Gazzetta dello Sport article (translated by Sport Witness) is to be believed, one such player Pellegrini has identified as a candidate to make the move to the London Stadium is Ivan Perisic of Internazionale.

The winger has been at the San Siro since 2015, and has made 155 appearances for the Nerazzurri in that time.

Perisic would likely share time with another experienced wide-man in Andriy Yarmolenko, who will return for the 2019-20 campaign after sustaining a season-ending Achilles injury in October.

The 30-year-old Perisic could set West Ham back as much as €40 million, but the Croat World Cup finalist is also known to have attracted interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
