Tottenham have joined the race to sign West Ham transfer target Maxi Gomez at the end of the season.
According to The Daily Mail, via The BBC, Tottenham are keeping tabs on Gomez as they weigh up a swoop for the forward in the summer.
The report claims that Tottenham are monitoring his performances before deciding on whether or not they will make an official approach to sign him.
West Ham have been heavily linked with the striker, as Manuel Pellegrini looks to add to his squad in the next transfer window.
Gomez has a release clause of £43.5m in his contract at Celta Vigo, but it is currently unclear as to whether or not West Ham or Tottenham would be willing to meet that fee.
The 22-year-old has been in impressive form for Celta Vigo in La Liga, with 11 goals and five assists to his name so far this season.
