West Ham told to pay €45 million for Zapata

West Ham have been told that they will need to part ways with €45 million in order to sign Duvan Zapata from Atalanta.

According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited on Sport Witness, Atalanta rejected an offer in the region of €30 million from the Premier League side in January.

While an opening offer was rejected, another approach from the Hammers in the summer is not being ruled out at this stage.

However, West Ham have been told to up their bid if they want to stand any chance of bringing in the Colombian at the end of the season.

Zapata was one of the many names to be linked with a move to the London Stadium following speculation surrounding Marko Arnautovic’s future.

The Colombian has found the back of the net 17 times in the league this season, only Krzysztof Piatek, Cristiano Ronaldo and Fabio Quagliarella have scored more.
