Jack Grealish linked with West Ham move
West Ham United have joined the race to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa this summer, according to a report from The Mirror.
The Hammers are understood to have established an interest in recruiting the attacking midfielder, who has long been linked with a departure from Villa Park and a return to the Premier League.
Grealish is an integral part of Dean Smith’s side, and the manager will be hoping that his efforts until the end of the season will help the team mount a serious push for promotion back to the top flight.
However, should they fail to bounce back up to the Premier League, Villa could struggle to keep hold of their star man.
England manager Gareth Southgate, as per the report from The Mirror, recently indicated that Grealish must play regular top-flight football if he is to break into the national team squad.
It seems West Ham could provide the playmaker with this chance, as reports now indicate that they are pondering a summer pursuit of the youngster.
However, if the Hammers are to pursue a deal for Grealish, they will face competition. Tottenham are still keen to lure him to North London, while Bournemouth are named as potential suitors.
