West Ham among the teams interested in Ajax’s Andre Onana

West Ham will rival the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Barcelona for the signature of Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana.

According to Dutch reports from De Telegraaf, a host of top European clubs are vying for his signature.

The Cameroon international is the latest Ajax star be linked with a high-profile move away, with Frenkie De Jong set for a summer switch to Barcelona.

The latter are also pursuing the player as a potential long-term replacement for Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

West Ham themselves are also likely to be planning for the future, with Lukas Fabianski not getting any younger.

While the Pole has impressed since joining the club, he will turn 34 later this year.

The report claims that Onana could available for somewhere in the region of £25-£30 million, a figure certainly in West Ham’s budget.

With European ambitions, a deal to sign Onana would certainly be a coup for the Hammers, with the 22-year-old among the best young goalkeepers currently playing on the continent.
