Samuelsen nearing loan exit
FK Haugesund are reportedly closing in on the loan signing of West Ham player Martin Samuelsen.
Haugesund Avis, a Norwegian news outlet, claims that the 21-year-old is all but set to join the club on a temporary deal that will run until the end of the current campaign.
Samuelsen has spent the duration of the season so far with Dutch club VVV-Venlo but has failed to make an impression, and could be set to swap loan teams in the immediate future.
The youngster has made only five starts this season and has come off the bench on five other occasions.
Samuelsen was once tipped for big things but has not been capped by the Norwegian national team since 2016.
By returning to his homeland and performing for FK Haugesund, he will be determined to rejuvenate his career and work his way into contention for an international call-up.
His contract at West Ham will expire in the summer of 2020, so he’ll be out to make an impact and prove to Manuel Pellegrini that he has the capabilities of a first-team player at the club.
