Arnautovic could be fit to face Crystal Palace

Marko Arnautovic is in line to return to the West Ham squad for Saturday’s trip to Crystal Palace, according to the Daily Mail.

The Austrian has been out of action since limping off with a foot injury in the 3-0 defeat at Wolves, with fears that he could be out for some time.

He missed the 1-1 draw with Premier League leaders Liverpool on Monday night – a game Manuel Pellegrini’s side arguably deserved to win – but that may end up being the only match he is absent from.

Arnautovic is believed to be “winning his race” to be available this weekend, which is a huge boost ahead of a potentially entertaining London derby at Palace.

Only six points separate the two sides and the Hammers need to keep collecting positive results if they are to finish seventh this season.

The performance against Liverpool showed what West Ham are capable of and having Arnautovic back will only make them stronger.

The 29-year-old recently announced he would stay until the end of the season, when there is every chance he will move on.
